DT's occur as a person is detoxing from alcohol. They can cause hallucinations, extreme shaking, black outs. Death can even happen. A detoxing person should have medical help in most cases.....

My brother in law died with a "Wet Brain", the result of much hard booze. He eventually committed suicide. Sounds terrible but, he wasn't any good to himself or anyone else.
Sorry to hear about any death that was unnecessary and could have been prevented by oneself. Suicide is the most useless of all.......
