    I think I would have to say false. From what I've saw of actual historical photographs of them, I don't think anyone could not be shocked walking into such horrific scenes. I would think it would have made many of them sit and question how a segment of mankind could be so cruel to innocent children, women, and men of another. I suggest you look up the history of that, to fully understand the real nature of what you have asked. How could anyone not be shocked by something like that?
