FLVs normally stream on websites.
Adobe's Flash Video (FLV) file format appears most often online. Adobe designed the format to be embedded on websites, allowing Web viewers to stream movie content without downloading files. If you have an FLV on your hard drive, however, you may need to convert the file into another format for playback. Multiple websites can convert your FLVs into an array of other formats.

Open any browser, such as Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox, and visit media-convert.com (see Resources). Click "Choose File," find the Flash Video file you want to convert in the pop-up menu, and click "OK" to make your pick.
