Homosexuality could possibly an answer. A genetic defect leading to possibly too much or too little of a certain hormone could probably cause homosexuality. But for the most part, people are born this way. Not a disease, a deformity. But it also could be what you refer to as a genetic programmed behavior. A trait not good in any species of animals.
