    how do i troubleshoot a fuel pump on a 1998 ford crown victoria

    Take a can of starting fluid and give it a small spray into the air intake after removing the filter. If it fires up and runs for a short period of time, you are having a fuel delivery problem. If it doesn't run at all, you have an ignition problem.


    If it's a fuel problem, most of the time it is the fuel pump. You can check for blown fuses though, as a process of elimination without just assuming it is the fuel pump though.

    Shoot it, FORDS aren't worth the TROUBLE or HEADACHES!!!
