      You need a pig tail on the pathfinder. Then you plug the wiring harness from the trailer into the pig tail. Go to an auto parts store. This is simpler than you think.

        Remove both tail light assemblies to gain access to their wiring. Locate the hot wire for each of the following .... left turn signal, right turn signal, tail lights, .... and make a good ground to the body. Splice in the corresponding wires to the female plug which will match to the trailer plug. If trailer has brakes, you will need to wire that also (Check with trailer instructions).


        The above will give you turn signal lights, brake lights, and running lights.
