There can be many reasons. Is it slow only when trying to access the internet? If so, and you have a dial-up connection, that's the slowest there is. Too many anti-virus programs running simultaneously can do it too. Too many "windows" as well. Other causes also.

Try this:If You have a Windows-system(example Windows XP,Vista,7),try download from Google a program called ; Advanced SystemCare.(latest version is 5.2.0) It is made by Microsoft and it´s totally free,safe and secure. When You have downloaded the ASC,then use the programs part called "Deep Care". ASC works nicely in my laptop PC and I use it every day. An other free program is called CCleaner.
