The bridge walkway is open to pedestrians from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. during Pacific Standard Time. When daylight savings time is in effect, the bridge is open to pedestrians from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.

It's beautiful- bring a wind breaker- it can get chilly up there- especially when the wind tunnels through that way!

Yes you can.  there's parking on the north side of the bridge and a gift shop on the south side with limited parking.  But, you won't be able to do it this holiday weekend.  It will be limited to the big celebration of the 75th year it opened.  Just to let you know, my two older sisters (who have since passed on) roller skated across it when it opened.
