what is the path that water takes to cool 4 hp evinrude 1978 engine
I don't see the tell tale water coming from the motor when running. The motor runs for a little while and then stops like someone shut the gas off. It is very hard to get started again for a little while.

Download the service manual. It should have diagrams for the cooling system http://www.instant-manual.com/New_Standard.html
