    In the US, can a film-maker give themselves an X rating if the MPAA refuse to approve their film for viewing by the public?

    HMMM..you know, I haven't seen a movie theater advertize a rated X,XX,orXXX movie in a long time- I no longer stray to those parts of town.  I think most are on DVD etc....I would see who produces those types of films and talk to them.
