    10x-4(2x+6)=8,then x=?
    10x - 8x - 24 = 8
    2x -24 = 8
    2x -24 + 24 = 8 + 24
    2x = 32
    x = 16
    10(16) - 4[(2 x 16) + 6) = 8
    160 - 4(32 + 6) = 8
    160 - 4(38) = 8
    160 - 152 = 8

    I know this is a two year old question, but kids get confused with positive and negative numbers. My niece has this problem with her algebra.
