There's so much social status associated with apple products. The availability of so many non-Apple products that are soo much better but it makes no difference to the average Apple aficionado, it's a status symbol of 'being different'. Steve Jobs did a great job of marketing people, not products. He has created a cult of followers that will stand in line to get the newest apple, not because its better but because it is the social thing to do to be accepted in their ring of social friends.

PC nasty - associated with suit and tie -- Terrible...
Nothing to do with which system is best.
