      When I get my email, it shows (on the left side) how much is in the "In" box, how much is in the "Spam" box, how much is in the "Trash" box.  There is a little garbage can icon next to the amount.  If I click on the garbage can, I will get a conversation box that asks me if I really want to delete everything in the chosen "box".  I click on "OK" and it all goes away.

        Thanks for the tips, everyone. I don't remember seeing the little conversation box, but I do have the icon of the waste basket. So, I'll click it on and see if it says anything besides " delete "
        Yeah , I have 214 inbox emails. I worry that my 'puter might explode ;-)

          If there is a "check box" at the top of your list of emails, click on it, and it should select all. Then "delete".
