As documented by the US Government, Bush Jr gave the order to invade after the terrorist attacks on US soil on 9-11-01

No president started the Iraq war it was started by terrorism.........

Has any US president started a war? I think not . Retaliation is the way we respond.

There was still terrorism going on in Iraq.....
And a nut running it and who knows what he could have done.

Randy,  Zero is the precise answer. I know that all Aye-Rabs look alike to some people but there IS a difference between an Iraqi and a Saudi.  Just like there is between an American and a Frenchman, for instance.

Connaissez- vous la différence, mon ami sans tête ?

    Oui. Merci

That war was planned on Iraq way before 911. 911 gave George bush the oppertunity to follow through with those plans. Check out the sites "Middleast Policy Centers..

There were TWO Iraq wars people. The FIRST Iraq war was the result of Saddam Hussein's invasion of Kuwait in 1990. The US and 29 other nations formed a coalition to drive him out.

Unfortunately Bush senior didn't finish the job because the prime objective of the UN mandate was to drive Iraqi out of Kuwait. They did.

The SECOND Iraq war was executed by the US and FAR LESS willing countries.

After 9-11 the US was understandable paranoid of another attack, this time by chemical, biological or nuclear weapons and our old buddy Saddam Hussein had the biological and chemical weapons available to use along with a "program" to develop nuclear weapons.

After countless demands to come clean were met with flat out NO'S from the Iraq regime, the US launched the SECOND Iraq war.

So, I guess you could say George W Bush "started" the second Iraq war, but a lot of bad circumstances led to it.

Your version of the events is quite accurate. You fail to mention that NO Weapons of Mass Destruction were ever found despite the thorough search for such. The subsequent US "excuse" for invading was "Well,he (Saddam) was a bad guy anyway, so..."
    See report on findings:

When the US was preparing to invade Iraq, ours and the worlds intelligence services, had determined Saddam was developing WMD's.
Any trace of their nuke activities were long gone when we finally did invade. The absence of WMD gave Bush haters plenty of ammo to support their original reluctance to go into Iraq. Fair enough. People died that didn't need to.....BUT.....how would you react to the 9-11 attacks KNOWING damn well Saddam Hussein had EVERY reason to inflict harm on the United States and your intelligence services tell you hes working on a nuke program? Hindsight is 20/20

Saddam Hussein started it although G. bush senior and junior tried to mop it up truth being the war still continues with or without the US goverment..

The war continues because of the chaotic mess that the US created.

Before these two Iraq had another war with the neighbouring Iran which was not started by any President.
