    I always wonder whats the importance of the ring in engagement, is there any story behind it or it is only the human beings who have made such fashion.

          I heard the ring is supposed to mean an endless circle ( of love and commitment, I guess ) And, anyway, it's a way of letting people know that you  '' are spoken for ''
