    I always wonder whats the importance of the ring in engagement, is there any story behind it or it is only the human beings who have made such fashion.

        ....in the Roman Empire women wore the rings with keys on them as an indicator of husbands' ownership

          I heard the ring is supposed to mean an endless circle ( of love and commitment, I guess ) And, anyway, it's a way of letting people know that you  '' are spoken for ''
