If you can get 5 years you are doing exceptionally well these days.batteries ain't what they used to be I think mainly because of the electronics in modern cars.When it fails it will most likely be all of a sudden.Good luck! :)

I run a V8 with a 351 engine and a battery will last in my car for approx 2 years.

I feel lucky going into the 4th year.

I would plan on replacing it when there's a sale on batteries at Sears.   So what if it lasts an additional 9 months?  Don't get too cute with your car especially when you drive on the highway a lot.  Stay on the safe side.

I haven't replaced the Batt. in my Escape yet and I've had it for around eight years....... I better get a new one before winter hits, think......lol
