Thigh or hip...I would not use your butt until you learn how...but, I would have a nurse or doctor show you how to first.

thanks for your answer . I have been shown and given limited training in order to inject at home and have done it correctly on 3-4 times in front of trained medical staff. Ive also done similar 8 years ago when having my twin girls. I just lack confidence in myself once at home I think? Im not squeamish about injecting myself just not ultra confident that I have done correctly because of discomfort afterwards. I do all steps/procedures ive been taught including asperating(sorry for spelling)and checking for blood first before administering the medicine.

I would suggest the thigh or buttocks. Easy to get to, lots of muscle to work with. The arm can't be grasped by yourself alone.....

T.hanks for your answerWould the bottom not be difficult to access ? Or is there a knack / particular position that makes it possible.? Have injected into thigh but am finding discomfort/pain post injection last upto 24 hours so far and would like to avoid this if possible :)
Prop your butt up against a shelf or something of the right height. Add to the squeeze with you free hand and shoot with the other. I don't do IM's, just Sub Q's but it can't be too different....
