When I copy and past, I am taking text word for word from a source and placing it in another text area. Sometimes I will paste and copy an answer to this site, particularly about mileage and directions.
FOR ME to copy, I highlight the text I want while holding down the left side of the mouse. The text I want is highlighted in blue. Then a depress the CTRL key and the C key.
I then go to the place where I want to insert the text and place my cursor at the spot where I want the text to start. CTRL and V will transmit the text to that spot.
