You will need to have your carrier's GPRS and MMS settings on your phone. Call them and ask for the settings to be sent to you. Once you have saved the settings and rebooted your phone, viewing and sending MMS will not be a problem anymore.
If you didn't have the settings on your phone when someone sent an MMS to you, you should have received an SMS with a link and a password for you. Enter the link in a browser on your computer and it should be asking you to login to view the MMS. Enter your username (in most cases, it is your mobile number) and the password which was provided to you in the SMS. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100811043046AAk9jfV
