CEA (Carcinoembryonic antigen) test is a blood test for patients who have colon cancer. Its purpose is to determine whether the treatment they received helped or not. CEA is ptotein that is normally found in developing fetuses. In adults, abnormal amount of CEA may be an indication for cancer.
