A truncated radio is a two-way radio system that is controlled by a computer and enables sharing only few radio frequency channels by a relatively large goup of people.
A digital truncated radio is a more advanced system than the analogue truncated radio. This system encrypts voices and data into a digital format, which is then transmitted through air. The radio signal is converted into a binary code by electronic or an electromagnetic signals, and then the receiving radio decodes the binary code by an algorithm, so the listener can understand what is being conveyed.
