I use Rebtel to call Thailand all the time and have found it to be a wonderful company. The reception is clear, with near non-existent interruption, and the cost is absolutely minimal. I find it to be preferable to using a phone card. To test it out, just buy $10 worth of minutes first and see if you like it.

And you could also try Pingo, another VoIP provider.
