    My window glass is off track on my 2001 VW beetle how can I fix it

      the window regulator keeps the glass  in its' track. to fix it properly is to replace the regulator but if it is to expensive then you can cut the regulator cables off so it wont go down by accident if you should press the window switch and secure glass to regulator track by installing a radiator hase clamp  or install a screw or bolt in the regulator itself. there are many ways to rig it up so it stays closed. remember that if it is the driver's door it may not pass safety inspection in some states so you may still have to fix it properly. good luck
