you should say what kind of vehicle you have first of all. if the vehicle can not detect the key fobe then you should install new batteries before you look for any other problem with the system. if you have done that already then a repair shop or dealer needs to check for fault codes in the system. not much you can except maybe try your second remote if you have one.good luck
