If you're talking about an escort service, it's supposedly for them to have sex with you , or so whatever  you want with you. If  you're talking about a male escort----like to go  a dance , or a society or political function, he is supposed to like be your date, adn be gentlemanly toward you. They used to say that Robert Kennedy was Jackie Kennedy's escort for certain functions, b/c her husband, his brother,  President Jack Kennedy, was killed .
