Check your air filter to see if it might be plugged. Next, while you have the filter off, give it a small shot of ether to see if that will get it to start. Try this at least 3 times.
Next, if it didn't start up for you with the ether, check to see what shape the spark plug is in. A little sandpaper or a steel brush sometimes helps clean them up a little. You can set the plug so that it grounds on the cylinder head to see if it sparks if you pull the starter. Don't forget you need to hold the little safety bar to get it to fire.
