What is the best way to back-up my computer?

If my hard drive "crashed" tomorrow, how can I save or preserve all of the programs, files, and settings to restore it (or a new hard drive) to it's current state?

    Hi

First of all hard drives do not crash so easily, but if you are so affraid of the incident you can take an image of your system and save it on a DVD or USB memory, also u can go to system properties and then system protection , there u can set a restore point for ur system so u can restore ur PC to an earlier version. The only thing that can not be obtained if the hard drive crashed is windows itself and the update u have done for that, but all files ( softwares, movies, musics, pics and... ) can be saved simply on an external hard drive or DVD or USB memory. The windows will go mad after mounth of use so always be ready to format ur hard drive, it will save ur ass from damned viruses, bro.
