    A series of random symbols used in the midst of text commonly denotes profanity. Yours seems to have a pattern.
    ) is the "close parenthesis symbol   (this is a parenthetical phrase)
    ; is a semi-colon; grammatically, it separates two separate thoughts which could also be written as separate sentences. The semi-colon, in other words, could be replaced with a period.
    @ means "at"
    < means "less than"   6 < 8 
    > means "greater than"  100 > 26
    % is the sign for "per cent" or "percentage"   18% means 18/100.
    The "underscore" is the same as underlining, or indicating a blank space for which information needs to be supplied.
