African Grays seem to learn words, phrases and noises quickly. I have seen  Moluccan Cockatoos that learned to sing and talk. I’m sure the subject of intelligence in parrots is of considerable interest.

Kongo Grey is the breed that is said to be the most talkative. It depends on teacher and also the  personality of the individual parrot

I HAD AN AFRICAN GREY WHEN I WAS MARRIED(EMMIE)!...He talked a lot..far better company than my then husband at the time was!:-)...At least I knew where I was with him!!:-)...But he learnt a lot of bad language...my friends used to encourage him...it was funny until I couldn`t take him out with me anymore for FEAR of what he`d say!!(O.K.hands up!!...He did catch on to a few expletives in the lovely blissful relationship we lived in!!!:-Z
