    1 Answer

    Y - 10 = x     X = 4, 7, 9
    Simple place one of the x choice in the equation
    Y - 10 = 4
    Now, get the Y all by itself on one side of the = sign.  Do this by adding 10.  Add 10 to BOTH sides of the equation.
    Y - 10 + 10 = 4  + 10
    Y = 14
    Do the same procedure, substituting 7, and then 9 for X.
