I worked in Nursing homes in the summer months when I was in college. I believe that not being able to smell would be helpful.

Why not??...I`VE NEVER SEEN A HEALTH QUESTIONAIRE ASKING FOR SENSE OF SMELL DETAILS!!...IN NURSING I SEE IT AS AN ADVANTAGE!!(NO DIS TO PATIENTS)!!

Yes, you can and yes, it will benefit you.

The patients can all break "wind laugh .You would laugh as well .? how does that "benefit your "Lungs !! lol

I wish I couldn't smell the odors we have here, not a nursing home but I think as far as that goes it's as bad and perhaps worse here , not being able to smell would be a distinct advantage,

I don't know. You might be smelling a lot of expensive perfumes though.

    Changed your mind, huh?

My husband thinks there is something wrong with me because I have a very good sense of smell. I can smell things other people can't smell. I have the smell of a dog. Or you might say I smell like a dog.

Sounds to me like I would be unable to work in a convalescent hospital.
