    Yes, this is ok...they just left out the last stage!

    This depends on treatment (whether the infected individual gets an antibiotic/ anti fungal/ antivirus medication or their immune system can beat the infection).  In the case of No treatment:  Latent period (the individual has the bacteria or virus enter their body but no symptoms occur) , Incubation period (the virus, bacteria, fungus multiplies in the individuals body), Infectious or Communicable stage (The individual still has no symptoms- or they are mild- but can spread the infection to others), disease state (the individual has symptoms of the disease- s/he is ill), death (the infection eventually overcomes the individual's vital organs leading to sepsis and death).....If treated successfully, the last stage would not be death it would be Recovery period( The individual becomes better).
