    what is a pound of plaster of paris equal to

    I need to mix a pound of plaster of paris with water .  How much is a pound of plaster of paris.

      Why don't you go to the shop from where you bought the plaster and ask them how much water you need to add to it. It could be two cups plaster to one cup of water.

        Why don't you start with the minimum amount that won't ruin it, add a bit more, mix--add more a little at a time until you find the consistency you are looking for. I don't know much about plaster o' paris but like any plaster, depends on the work, sometimes you want it drier some jobs wetter for smoothness.. if you are making 'figurines' I would think wetter for smoothness..  But I am only guessing at that.
