In my culture we like to meet with a smile, then a little information such as “My name is Robert…” and a polite question of mutual respect and interest such as, “….and what is your name?” Then we begin a conversation toward a broader understanding of one another. Such as, “ I am an American citizen and I see by your name that you are perhaps on-line in an Islamic country. Is there a subject with which you have a particular interest that I may also share?
