A little at a time, never goes wrong!!
Get the landscaper in the same week.
    Job done.

There is an awesome amount of insecticide.  I find the granules spread everywhere helps to reduce the millions to a livable amount.  Down side is you have to repeat 1 to 3 times a year.  Depends on where you live and climate.  I love the Weed & Feed for the lawn.  It gets rid of the weeds beautifully & perks up grass to grow where weeds were.   But you have to repeat same as insecticide.  I added this because a healthy lawn helps get rid of varmints.  Same deal with ant killer spread over every inch of lawn not just the hills.  The varmints has no problem setting up house 4 feet from your poison spot.  You don't have to spend big bucks for these items when you cover all of lawn plus lots of times if  you buy large bags it is cheaper.

Good old fashioned soap and water, drain your washing machine onto your yard or mix your own. This will also help in the mold department - or so I've been told......
