    Napoleon owned many horses, and a good number of them were grey Arabians. At a distance, this type of horse's coat would appear white.
    Napoleon's "white" horse only appeared white.

    He rode Arabians that were greyish-white.

    Your question did put a smile on my face however, even if posed tongue-in-cheek! :)
