when you are answering questions during the fafsa process, they will automatically apply for all grants that you are eligible for. They base this on income, living situations, grade averages, choice of major, etc. some career choices such as education careers have extra grants automatically given. After completing your fafsa, you should be able to view the grants that you qualify for. No, you shouldnt have to apply additionally for a pell grant.
