I have so many impossible dreams . One of them is to get a scholarship to study abroad the country, i am so pessimistic for this dream and sometime i say that isn`t a dream but just an illusion.

    To dream the impossible dream
    To fight the unbeatable foe
    To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not goTo right the unrightable wrong
To love pure and chaste from afar
To try when your arms are too weary
    To reach the unreachable star

    This is my quest
    To follow that star
    No matter how hopeless
    No matter how far

    To fight for the right
    Without question or pause
To be willing to march into Hell
    For a heavenly cause

And I know if I'll only be true
    To this glorious quest
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm
When I'm laid to my rest

And the world will be better for this
That one man, scorned and covered with scars
Still strove with his last ounce of courage
    To reach the unreachable star

Man of La Mancha. I've played this song on the piano for years. It is a favorite of mine. Thank you for printing it.

I saw Man of La Mancha, also have a semi abstract painting of him, I love it and I loved the story

Thats why they are called dreams,

Good song from a good film, it was my late Mothers favourite song.

    AH, memories eh?

    That's OK hictar9555!

No dream is impossible. Bringing it to fruition is another matter sadly.

    Not likely to happen.

    beautiful

Electricity, refrigerators, space flight, laptops, phones that tell you where you can hide a body...all "impossible" dreams at one time.

There are a couple of beautiful, classic skirts I wore in the 80's, at my most fit.  It is likely impossible I'll ever wear them again.  (Yes, they are that old).
Also, flying. Just being able to be lifted by a breeze and soar (low-level soaring).  I DO dream that.

    hector5559

To see your skirts being lifted by a strong brease, the impossisible dream indeed,

hector. Bob said flying ."Which I presume means Trousers she would wear ? Sorry to disappoint you and me as well !!

You guys are crazy. :D Good crazy, but crazy.

try it! flying I mean, I went for my first hang gliding lesson when I was 50, love it

I love the song " The impossible Dream" But in real life, I am a big dreamer. I always visualize things that I would like to happen. I love to dream about a world without war, a peaceful existance among nations and all animals living in the wild living without fear from beeing hunted to extinction. When I stop dreaming, then I will be no more.

    hector5559

Thats not a bad way of thinking Ann,some day it might be lkie that,
    Ann

    Maybe- you never know.

Electricity, refrigerators, space flight, laptops, phones that tell you where you can hide a body...all "impossible" dreams at one time.

Space flight was the only impossible dream(Jules Vernes dreamed of)that I know of. Who dreamed about the other ones (their inventors did not, they just invented them)?

Are we talking retirement???? been dreaming about that for years!

p.s I also feel that dreams are a form of frustration, telling us we wish for more or different (change)

My ex and youngest son have sky-dived. They loved it. Hang gliding....maybe....it DOES sound fun. Parasailing sounds better.
    lambshank

Done both, and both are fun, but hang gliding is so peaceful, and a wonderfully selfish thing, just you and the big blue sky, brilliant view of all below, over the ocean is special
