    Is music from the 60's and 70's ever played on BBC Radio 1 these days?

    I heard Michael Jackson's "The Way You Make Me Feel" on a request show tonight and that was from the 80's.

      Not a lot, you'd be better seeking specialist radio stations for 60s and 70s.

        There's a lot of old music played on Smooth Radio. Radio 2 specializes in a wide range of music from classical to heavy metal, but a lot of what they play is old. When I was a child they were predominantly an 'easy listening' station.

        I was an avid Radio 1 listener as a teenager but now being older (42) I prefer Smooth Radio and Radio 2.
