I keep getting phone calls from a company telling me my laptop is infected with a virus,even though im running McAfee internet security.They say my motherboard and harddrive is infected and they can show me how to sort it out.Is this a scam?
They say they are Microsoft accredited but i do not trust unsolicited phone calls.Has anyone been in contact with this company and are they genuine?

I keep getting calls saying I've won 100 bucks in gas and all they need is my credit card number to make the transaction complete!!I do not now nor ever have possessed a credit card...ever!And so I said "Just stick it in the mail" and the response was a click and they hung up!!!The 800 number was gone off the system when I attempted to callback!!Scammers are everywhere!Beware!!!
