    how do I get rid of a timeshare that I can no longer use, sell or rent?

    Bad time to sell, I would rent if possible.

    From experience you have to simply walk away, timeshares are unsellable. Above all do not pay money upfront to a company that says they will find a buyer, it is a scam.


    Never buy a timeshare, you will regret it if you do.

    Are you still trying to get rid of your timeshare? Interested because we are in the same situation. Will probably default shortly.

    I defaulted on the annual maintenance fee last year. The company have not pursued me but apparently some do. Incidentally they sent me a long list of vacant units inviting me to put in a bid. I will not.
