    When I try to download Explorer 9, I get a message telling me that I already have Explorer 8. Why? Are they the same thing?

    From the sounds of it, no...We get a ton of questions about IE9. It seems they've made it's options harder to use.
    Go to start, control panel, uninstall programs, find IE8 and uninstall it, then try installing IE9. If it works, come back here and read this, you will need it to find your favorites and status bar again. (click link after you install IE9) http://www.tothepc.com/archives/restore-favorites-status-bar-in-ie9/
