    It's more important to adjust your weight/height ratio than it is to worry about any other figures.  This formula works for men and women but with different numbers.


    for a mid teenager to adult  and 5 ' tall start with 100 lbs. 


    for men, add 7,8 or 9 lbs per inch over 5'


    for women, add 3, 4 or 5 lbs per inch over 5'


    Weight between those figures depends on your body's structure.  If your athletic of physically more active you would tend to weigh more than the estimate.


    Assume a male athlete of 5'10" is 165 - 175 lbs.  That's a good size.


    Assume a female athlete of 5'7" is 121 - 135 lbs.  That's a good size.
