I have a 1986 chevy truck with 2 fuel tanks. Last week the right tank quit working and the left tank was registering for both sides. I replaced the switch and the switch valve. Now the right tank is working (I think) showing for both sides. What can I do to make both tanks work again?

this  sounds like a ground like a ground wire problem.i would  definitely make sure that the groud is clean and tight . if it is then i would blame the sending units  in the fuel tanks. it sounds that one fuel may have a ground fault and it finds a second path to ground by switching the fuel tanks. good luck.
