    How do I handle state income tax for Florida on federal return

    How can I take advantage of Florida's lack of state income tax on the federal form?  Is there something about involving the deduction as the state sales tax?

      Generally, state income and sales taxes can be used as a deduction of you gross income, to help lower ones adjusted gross income, upon which your federal income tax is calculated


      However since Florida does not have a State INCOME tax, you do not have that option.
