if your brake pad fault indicator is on then it is almost time to replace either the front or the rear pads pluus anew sensor. 1000 rpm is a little high but not too bad to really be concern. it could be onr or more vaccum lines cracked causing the idel to go up some or it could also be the throttle body and plate is carboned up or just dirty. definetely the brake and idle have nothing in common. so that leaves you with just a brake light bulb that may be out that also has nothing to do with the previous 2 other problems.
