In the USA, you must show your license when asked even if you feel there was no reason to pull you over or to be asked for them. You must show ID when asked by someone in authority. Check homeland security laws.

is this only when you are driving a vehicle or is this anywhere and anytime you are seen....by an authoritian figure....remember this is in regards to the motor vehicle act and not terrorism or something else...mod Coleen has it very right.... our freedoms are being removed.... our fathers would roll over in their graves....
Any time any where, even if you are walking down the street. When asked, you must show ID and when asked you must show vehicle registration. Again, this is part of homeland security. These are our freedoms that got removed from us.
