This is a very ambitious project, but if you really think you can do it, here is what you need:
1 impression trays, 2 alginate impression material3. Plaster of Paris. take impressions of dad's mouth. That will get you to stage 1
2 Wax to make bite blocks, then you record the jaw relationship. Stage 2
3. Next you need an articulator to hold the plaster casts in the correct relationship, and the correct shape size and colour of denture teeth to be set on the wax bases. Stage 3
4. You need to get two processing flasks, put the trial dentures in the flasks and boil out the wax. You next need some methyl methacrylate which you mix and put into the flasks, then boil for about 6 hours.
5. finally you need to separate the dentures from the plaster, trim and polish.
A better idea is to ask your dad's dentist if you can visit his technician and watch him making the dentures, You might even become an apprentice!
