      Oz is a commonly used abbreviation for Australia. It is also an abbreviation for 'ounce'.

        There's a wizard there, must be a place.  some say the wizard lives in Australia. :)  There's a story about a house that was cught in a tornado and was thrown from Kansas USA all the way to Oz (Australia) It's full of little people, Green castles and witches and talking trees.  I don't believe it though.. Some kind of marketing genius intended to entice people to vacation in Australia.
